A Bit About Me & My Clinical Practice

I am a UK-qualified psychotherapist, group analyst, and clinical supervisor with nearly 25 years of experience working with clients. My experience extends to senior management and university lecturing, with over 30 years in education, from early years to post-graduate levels.

As a Relational Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, I place the relationship we build together at the heart of our work. I adapt the pace and the therapeutic process to your unique personal circumstances and emotional needs, ensuring that the support you receive is truly aligned with your individual experience.

If I were to describe my expertise, it would be in emotion regulation, rooted in my work with trauma and PTSD. This involves helping clients navigate and understand their big emotions without letting them interfere with living a satisfying and fulfilling life.

I work with a diverse range of clients, including those who self-identify or have been diagnosed as neurodivergent, as well as individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, cultural issues and challenges related to race and identity. My experience extends to working with people of colour, individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and those exploring gender identity, sexuality and the many dimensions of self-identity.

I am dedicated to embracing an intersectional approach that acknowledges the complexities of power, privilege and positionality, with the goal of creating a safe, non-judgmental and affirming space where clients can explore their unique experiences.

I work with adults, couples and groups offering therapy in both English and Italian.

If you are interested in working with me, let’s have a conversation and see what grows from there.

Clinical Supervision

As a Clinical Supervisor, I offer individual, paired and group supervision for qualified psychotherapists, group analysts as well as counsellors and psychotherapists in training.

I have extensive experience in supervising clinicians in private practice, universities, charitable organisations and the NHS.

In supervision, my primary aim is to enhance the quality of your practice by offering a reflective space where you can explore your work. This space is designed to support you in doing more thoughtful and impactful work with your clients, allowing you to deepen your understanding and approach in a meaningful way.

If you're considering clinical supervision, please contact me to enquire about my current availability. I'd be happy to discuss how we might work together and to see if my approach aligns with what you're looking for.

Public Speaking & Workshops

I offer a wide range of workshops and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminars to psychotherapy training institutions, covering various topics related to psychotherapy and mental health.

In addition to my work in psychotherapy, I am passionate about raising awareness of the vital link between metabolic health and mental wellbeing. I am working towards to using my platform to advocate for making metabolic health a central focus in mainstream healthcare. Given the profound impact of metabolic dysregulation on both mental and physical health, addressing it is not just beneficial but crucial for preventing chronic illnesses and promoting long-term wellbeing in both mind and body.
