As a dedicated psychotherapist and group psychoanalyst, Geri’s mission is to guide individuals, groups and couples in cultivating profound self-awareness, unravelling the intricate web of behavioural patterns, and exploring the profound impact of early family dynamics and environmental influences. In collaboration with her clients, Geri delves into the depths of personal history to illuminate the connections between past experiences and present behaviours. By fostering emotional regulation and resilience, she helps pave the way for healthier, more fulfilling relationships—with oneself and with others.

Geri sees clients from her consulting room in NW6, London both in-person and online.  Get in touch if you are ready to embark on your journey towards deeper more meaningful relationships or if you would simply like to have a chat to explore which therapy option—individual, group or couples—might best suits your needs.

Ways I Can Work With You

Individual Therapy

Balancing life's pressures can be challenging, leading to persistent worries and concerns that impact our personal and professional relationships. Often, these difficulties arise from unresolved emotions rooted in our past experiences, which may not be consciously acknowledged.  In a warm and secure environment, whether online or in person, I offer a private and confidential space so that together we can explore and understand your thoughts, feelings and experiences. Embarking on this journey of self-reflection cultivates emotional resilience and amplifies your confidence, ultimately fostering significant personal growth.

Group Therapy

Group therapy acknowledges that each of us is part of various social groups, from families to workplaces, societies, and cultures. It centres on the complexities of navigating one's identity within these groups, aiming to liberate individuals from patterns of past behaviours that persist in the present group dynamic. By addressing these challenges collectively, group therapy provides a supportive space for individuals to explore and evolve their interpersonal relationships and self-perception.

Premarital Therapy

Premarital therapy serves as a valuable platform for partners to delve into each other's values, traditions, and aspirations before marriage. It provides an opportunity to initiate discussions and develop strategies for navigating crucial topics such as communication styles, intimacy, finances, children, and personal values. Let's begin a dialogue to equip you with the tools and insights necessary for fostering a strong and harmonious relationship as you prepare for marriage.

Couples Therapy

Constant bickering or resorting to the silent treatment can leave both partners feeling deflated and defeated.  In our work together, we'll delve into the underlying causes of your relationship challenges, enabling you to address the unconscious patterns that have created barriers between you. We'll work towards identifying the specific triggers that lead to disconnection. By exploring the messages inherited from your families, the aim is for you both to gain insights into how these dynamics influence your communication styles today.

Single Session Therapy

f you’re experiencing a specific concern or worry that you want to address quickly, single-session therapy might be right for you. This approach uses a solution-focused method to provide relief during times of need. It's designed to help you work through a particular issue efficiently, making it ideal for those who feel stuck or directionless in life. Despite its name, single-session therapy doesn't limit you to just one session; you can discuss the possibility of additional sessions if necessary. However, this type of therapy is not recommended for complex mental health issues.

"Breaking Barriers"

A Therapeutic Programme for Tackling Emotional Eating

Despite our best efforts, many of us frequently overeat at meals, snack without thinking, or regularly binge. As emotional eaters, we can use food for comfort, distraction, and excitement.  We are excited to introduce "Facing the Music," an innovative 12-week group therapy programme designed to help individuals understand and overcome their emotional eating triggers, transforming their relationship with food. This programme includes a psychoeducational component that explores the multifaceted nature of emotional eating, incorporating aspects of psychology, biology, nutrition, lifestyle, and exercise.

Public Speaking & Workshops

As a psychotherapist and group psychoanalyst, I offer a diverse array of workshops to organizations and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminars to psychotherapy training institutions. I also participate in public speaking events focused on enhancing emotional stability, fostering healthier relationships, managing stress and anxiety, and addressing emotional overeating. These sessions are crafted to provide individuals with practical tools and insights, promoting self-awareness, resilience, and positive behavioural change.

Core Relationship Foundations

  • Relationship With Self

I believe the most important relationship is the one with oneself. I assist clients get to the root of what is making them sad, lonely, unhappy, dissatisfied, and unfulfilled. I help break unhealthy relational patterns and establish healthy boundaries for a more fulfilled and authentic life.

  • Relationship With Partner

My focus is on guiding couples through the complexities of their relationships.

I assist couples in navigating conflicts with constructive communication, rebuilding trust, and fostering mutual respect. I work towards identifying areas for growth so that couples can strengthen their bond and cultivate a more fulfilling partnership.

  • Relationship With Others

As a group psychoanalyst, I assist individuals in exploring their interpersonal relationships across different settings—work, friendships, family, and more. Through supportive group dynamics and focused discussions, participants gain insight into their relational patterns and communication styles. Together, we work to enhance self-awareness and cultivate more meaningful connections in all aspects of life.
